Please read the following information carefully before using this form!
Data submissions to the Tübingen zebrafish radiation hybrid map fulfill two purposes: First, you will get information on the location of your markers or genes, which may help you to match them to mapped mutations. Secondly, we may be able to fill gaps in the map, which will benefit the entire community. Therefore we try to integrate all submitted markers into the map, rather than just positioning them on the existing map by two-point linkages.
We expect you to take as much care generating the data as we do ourselves. Please follow the standard PCR protocol and duplicate your data at least once. We strongly discourage "test" submissions of incomplete or fictional data. Submitted data will be visually checked by us before integration into the map and rejected if there is an obvious problem such as abnormally low retention.
At your request, we will assign an unpublished marker an "unp..." name which will appear on the map. The actual name and any further information that you may submit will not be made publicly available. However, if you provide us information about a submitted gene we may be able to tell you whether there is a potential match with a mapped mutation.
We request that you notify us by E-mail when you have published a submitted marker, and tell us the actual name and GenBank accession number (if you have not done so already). The map entry will then be changed accordingly. We regularly search GenBank for new zebrafish sequences in order to map them at our facility. Failure to reveal the identity of a marker might force us to duplicate your mapping effort.
Radiation hybrid types can be encoded in several ways:
We update the map approximately every three months. Your marker will be included in the next update, and you will receive a report by E-mail.
